MAY FAIR ON THE GREEN 2010
Saturday 8 May from 1.45pm Old Station Green, centre of Winscombe 10th ANNIVERSARY The local community gets together to celebrate the first decade of Old Station Green community open space at this local event for all on Saturday the 8th of May. Lord Cotter, who, as local MP, opened the newly created Millennium Green at the first May Fair in 2000, will do the honours once again at 2 pm. This will be followed by Maypole dancing by local schoolchildren and a Circus Skills display and workshop to accompany the afternoon’s fete programme of stalls and games by local organisations plus rides, fun, novelty and, of course treats, eats, teas, soft drinks, ices etc. which will fill the site. If Wet – the event will be held in Winscombe Community Centre ADDMISSION FREE This is a Family Event with Everyone Welcome and a Wonderful Way to Support your Community. If you would like to help the Trust raise funds for upkeep of the community amenity, please consider donating raffle or tombola prizes, items for bottle stall etc. or offer help on the day.
